Can I charge babysitting fees if someone has to work on their visitation weekends?

You cannot charge for babysitting your own child. If he is unable to see the child on weekends have the visitation schedule adjusted to better suit his schedule.

If you need free time away from your child/children, you need to pay for a babysitter out of what you already receive in child support or pay for it yourself.

I also doubt that changing the visitation schedule will do anything to improve his commitment or the amount of time he spends with his daughter.

If it keeps up, you can evenually ask for a change in the custody arrangement because of this.

P.S. You're saying that it's petty to ask for more in support, but it's not petty to ask for babysitting money? And you won't let him look after the kids during the week when he's not working, but would rather pay a babysitter rather than let your daughter spend the time with his father? Gee...

I doubt it. Raising children is a full time job. But i'm interested to see what people answer.
