Can men be tested for HPV?

So far, no one's answer is accurate. Men cannot be tested for the virus HPV. HPV causes genital warts, which men CAN be tested and treated for. There is no cure for HPV. There are medications out there (Aldara is the best) to get rid of the warts. Although it is rare, they can come back though. 99% of men do not know that they have HPV because they never have any symptoms (the warts) and most women never get them either.
HPV can be found in women by getting pap smears and paying attention to cell behavior. There is a vaccination for women called Gardasil which protects us from the most "high risk" strains of HPV, but not all of them. There is not a vaccination for men, and there is no way to check for the virus. If a man had genital warts, then he obviously has the virus. The warts can be treated, but the virus cannot.
