Help! A boy's name opinion...?
I'm going to be a grandmother and my son just found out that it is going to be a boy. I grew up with an unusual name, and did my best to give my children names that were not common, but not strange. The baby's mother has stated that she wants to name a boy "Hazeden" (pronounces Haze-den). I know I'm not the parent, but I don't like the name. My son isn't real happy with it either. Comments, suggestions, opinions, anyone? My son Likes "Solomon", and it is a family name, but the mother hates it.
Thank you CathRun! I knew there was a reason the name really struck me as wrong.

Okay. I thought Hazeden sounded familiar. Does the baby's mom know that Hazelden is a very famous drug rehab center? I mean, it is really quite well known. Baaaaad choice, in my opinion.
I kind of dig Solomon but something tells me this is just one of many battles you are going to have with this one about her kid.

I don't really like either names, to be honest.
The name Hazeden isn't so bad, but I don't like the spelling. I thought it was pronounced like "Haz-er-din" or something when I first saw it. Hayzden would probably be easier for people to pronounce. And I guess it can be shortened to Haze or Hayz something, which doesn't sound too terrible.
I'm really not a fan of Solomon. I actually prefer Hazeden.
How about Hayden? It's close to Hazeden.
I think they should keep looking until they find a name they can both agree on.
And tell your son congrats :)

My faves out of your checklist are Harrison, William, Benjamin and Jack yet good-looking and stylish which will age nicely = William. It has nicknames for each degree of existence: Billy, that's great cute for a splash boy; Liam, that's cool/chill for an adolescent; and could or invoice that's reliable and mature on a guy. that's the only one that truly provides him strategies as he gets older via fact Harrison would be Harry his finished existence, only as Benjamin will constantly be Ben.

Hazeden will forever be a burden to the child! Solomon isn't too bad. What about Jude? It's not crazily common like Aidan but not as strange as Hazeden.

Why dont you suggest Solomon Haze instead. Its still really pretty and that way both the son (Solomon) and the wife ( Hazeden - Den) can have what they want :)

Original names are becoming a lot more popular now a-days, using city names is common now too.
I personally have always been a fan of Phoenix, for a boy. this will be my first born sons name for sure, and I have felt this way for years.
other ones such as :
Austin and Denver are on my list as well.
hope that helps.

Hazeden?
ok one things for sure children are cruel and rude and when he grows up he will get bullied for his name
when im in school i see people being bullied all day about everything, colour of hair, height and what i always hear is name Hazeden isnt nice im not a fan of it...
and i thought both parents and grandparents were supposed to all agree on a name
if she likes the unusaul names:
Xander, Geoff,
but Xander is my fave
solomon? it would get teased and i am against that and hazeden ok lets just say
THE CHILDS NAME WILL BE WIT HIM FOR EVER
you want him to like his name and not hate it when people call his name!
hope i helped!

Is she a hippie ? The best thing out of this is that you can call him Haze for short...I hope he turns out to be a really cool kid. If he isn't then that name could haunt him.

i think if your son does not like the name he should let the mother know it's his child to and the should both agree on a name together. My husband pick out jacob and i picked out kooper and so we named our lil angel Jacob Kooper.Hope this was helpful and good luck =)
