How long is the BCS season.?
I am going into a debate tournament and one of the topics are 'A Playoff System Should Determine College Football Championships.' I was wondering how long the BCS season and if there was a playoff system instead would that season be longer.

There is no BCS season per se. The BCS includes a series of bowls and one National Championship bowl game. Any team that qualifies for a BCS bowl has only 1 bowl game to play.
You may be refering to the NCAA Division I-FBS National Football Championship subdivision, formerly known as Division 1-A. There are basically 12 games in the Division 1-A regular season.
Most experts feel that in order to have a playoff system 2 games would need to be removed from the regular season.
