Why do some republicans post 100% fabricated lies as if they were facts?

Question

One republican posted that over 1,000 Americans became billionaires under the reign of Bush.

But 16 months ago, Forbes magazine published that there were only 946 billionaires in the world and that only 415 of them were Americans.

Are we supposed to believe that no Americans were billionaires before Bush and that their numbers more than doubled in the last 16 months, when the country has been in a recession for most of that time?

People here use sources like worldnetdaily, yankeeblogspot and other right wing sources as if they were real media to try and justify their distorted version of the facts.

They also parrot the likes of Limbaugh and Hannity who are entertainers and not meant to be taken seriously.

People are so badly misinformed, but it's their own fault.  If they excercised personal responsibility like they tout, they would have more facts.

Only a Republican would brag about such a thing, when so many people are losing their jobs, their homes, and their medical coverage. If Bush had improved the quality of life for average people, that would be something to brag about.
