It seems that there are problems in the relatioship between the Christians (Evangelicals) and Catholics what is the basis of these problems?

I dislike the way SOME evangelicals spread lies about Catholicism. I dislike the way they lie about our doctrine, and refuse to recognize us as Christians. I dislike the way they read Jack Chick tracts and listen to the "whore of babylon" ramblings of their ant-Catholic preacher, and then refuse to listen when I show evidence based on ACTUAL Church teaching that proves them wrong.
But, as a general rule, I do not dislike evangelicals.

I have no problem with evangelicals. Used to be one, in fact. If I disliked them en masse, then I'd be including some members of my own extended family as well as several lifelong friends. Not gonna happen. (Interesting note here: When I converted to Catholicism I didn't get any flak from a single one of them, and we're talking almost 30 adults attending a wide spectrum of nondenominational churches.)
It's evangelicals -- some of them, anyway -- who seem to have a problem with Catholics.
Edit: Spitfire, you are completely clueless about Catholics' relationship with Christ. And you're making all evangelicals look incredibly stupid.

It's easy to dislike Evangelicals when they say things like "I know I will be in heaven no matter what" (see the 7th answer down).
It's arrogant and horrible. And the garbage which they actually believe about Catholics is enough to turn your stomach.

Because all people with common sense dislike ignorance thus they should dislike Evangelicals. I mean just look at them, personally I'm scared of them. They say to all Christians who are not Evangelicals that their religion is false I think that's just ridiculous. Did Jesus himself tell you that you bigots? They say that the theory of evolution is satan's lie ahaha they don't even bother looking at scientific books to at least try to understand. They keep remaining ignorant no matter what. They think Catholics, Mormons aren't Christians and even evil because they support satan by supporting the evolution and science in genreal. WE're GONNA STOP those "scientists" who teach our children SATANISTIC Ebolution they are so lost. Actually you are all so lost and you dont even know, why dont you people wanna save your souls and start to believe that the Earth is 6002 yrs 3 months and 95 minutes old? How do I know? becuz it's obvious my Pastor has told me dat. (And Im too ...cking stupid and brainwashed to think for myself). How do I know Catholics go to hell? becuz it's obvious my Pastor has told me that. And soon those satanists who are masons are gonna conquer the world unless Kent Hovind saves us. so free KENT HOVIND now, free our Savior and Redeemer! Bless our pastor he knows everything what would I do without him. And I'm gonna pray for 6 billion lost ppl. God Bless you Catholics and all of you who are in the darkness hope He will show you the truth someday thus you might be saved.

The problems are mostly dogmatic.
There is a misconception held among the more fundamentalist groups that the Catholics aren't 'true christians'. According to them, since the pope isn't mentioned specifically in the bible, and the intercessionary prayers to Saints and Mary, the catholics are in violation of biblical tenants. There are differing views on the concept of original sin, and the how and why of baptism. Basically, it all comes down to how each group interprets and uses the bible.
It's ironic, since the Catholic church is the main source that these other denominations split from. Prior to the invention of the printing press, the bible was transcribed by monks, by hand.
It's ridiculous really...

Catholics *are* Christians. Evangelicals do what you just did: relegate us Catholics to some kind of second-class citizen in the Kingdom of Heaven -- IF they aren't denying us our Christianity outright.
That mind-set is the biggest problem that most of us have with fundamentalists and evangelicals.

Several.
First, evangelicals tend to consider Catholics to be "not Christian" which is an affront to Catholicism.
Second, evangelicals tend to condemn Catholics to hell just for being Catholic.
Third, evangelicals want nothing to do with the ecumenical movement, which is to bring all unto Christ in a common manner.

I don't dislike Evangelicals, in fact I know quite a few. The problems arise because Evangelicals tend to attack Catholic doctrine and beliefs as unbiblical. We defend ourselves, they reject our defense as unacceptable, and so on.
But I don't dislike them. I was Methodist for most of my life, and I knew many Bible Christians, Evangelicals, etc. who loved God very much and sought to do his will.

Because Evangelicals dislike Catholics and everyone who is not Evangelical.

I think you are referring to Protestants. Protestants do not believe that Mary can be be a "co-redeemer" with Christ. They do not believe that it the Church that can forgive sin because that is Christ's role. I believe too that there are some objections to what is in the catechisms. I'm just stating some generalities.
But, depsite these differences I've always thought of Catholics as Christian. I talked to someone from Belfast Ireland one time about how horrible things could get between the factions such as not allowing to cross even into certain neighborhoods, attending university, or intermarrying, wars, physical violence... that is not what Christ taught us to be.
