Twist & Shout by The Beatles...I have a fun memory of being three and doing the Twist at a Miami Beach dance patio. All the adults formed a circle around me in my yellow polka-dot bikini and clapped and threw money, and one guy even bought me an ice cream cone!

Now, fast forward 35 yrs. I'm attending a charity dinner and the Entertainment is of all people Chubby Checker! (invented Twist)

He sees me dancing in front of the stage. He stopped the song pulled me up on stage and I got to twist with him! What a night!

"Good Morning Starshine" by Oliver, though it came out many years before I was born I remember my mother playing that song when I was a little girl and I would dance to it. I started dance school around that time in my life.

I can see myself playing under the big round dining room table, with my paper dolls, while the song "Paper Doll" by the Mills Brothers is playing on the radio.

my childhood was so harsh that remembering a "good" time is hard, but one that comes to mind that I always played on my 45 (LOL, boy I feel old) was Pat Benatrad's "Hell is for Children"
