What do I use tofix a crack in my interior Concrete block wall.?

The inside walls of my house are concrete block, and there are some cracks here and there at the mortar joints. They are small cracks, but I want to fill them before I paint, so I want them to be smooth. Any help? THANKS.

Scratch the joints a bit bigger than they are in a "V" shape. Use a good plaster mix.( can be bought ready made or in a powder you mix) Apply a coat with a putty knife forcing into the crack. Let it dry and repeat sand with a dust free screen( used in drywall sanding.) good luck
