How were you able to breastfeed with more than one child?
When my son gets to be 2 or so we would like to start trying for another but I was just wondering how you all did it having a young child running around and needing your attention and still breastfeed? What about potty training? I know people do it all the time but what are your tricks? Is it hard?

when baby needs feeding i always made sure the older 1 had a drink and book
they would sit with me read or draw and have fun time
after a while they were not bothered that i was feeding baby and just play as nrmal
potty trainning, try before baby comes
we all find something that works for us x x

I have a two year old and I breastfed my 7 month old twins for 6 months. Most of the time the twins were in hospital and being fed expressed milk but while they were at home I would just feed them both at once and make sure I was talking to my older son and making him not feel left out.

well i have 3 kids one is 4 one 2 and the newborn that is 2 months... I breast fed my son ( the 2 month old) for 1 month,,, It was hard for me because my other children wanted attention too. I had to stop because they were suffering, but i do have a friend that has as many kids as me and she did it till the baby was like 9 months..I suppose it depends on how strong willed you are good luck on your decision.

if your child is out of control then right away is the time to get him used to behaving.. so it doesn't associate yelling with the new baby.
However, with Most kids, there is No problem at all. I just make sure everything is situated before starting to nurse.. ask him if you need to get him anything.. and if he interrups and asks for something, he can wait a little bit. I have also mastered the art of walking arround and breastfeeding. Not for every feeding but if something needs your attention, you only need one arm to feed... you need to feed the baby wether its breast of bottle,.... its the same for bottle feeding.

my ped. said to hold off on potty training until baby arrived as my son might regress in to diapers to get attention
so baby is hear... i am nursing..... my hubby and other family originally helped out by taking my son out during the day to play and i bonded with baby.....
now i have a memership at an indoor playarea where i can watch my son play and still nurse the baby without having to worry about my son running off [like i would atthe mall or zoo]
we also just enrolled our son for 2 days a week for the morning only in daycare so they will teach him and let him play and socialize and i can relax a bit
