Is today "Fish Destruction day?"?
Ok...I have been having some serious hardships today with my fish. First...My female snakesking guppy has been giving birth since about 10am this morning and is still pregnant, yet only dropped 3 fry since 10am and it is now almost 5pm. Second....I was pouring some tank water back into the tank while my new fish were still in the container and one jumped into the tank with some convicts and before I coud net the juvie guppy out...the entire cichlid tank colony cornered her and ate her! :( Next..2 of my preg. swordtails jumped out of the tank and one died and the other one is doing ok for the moment. Has anyone ever had such fish keeping disasters in one day?

Anybody thats ever kept fish for an extended period of time has had a day as bad, or worse then that. A friend of mine was big into breeding chiclids, he had countless tanks and $1000's invested in fish. He got a new gf that came over to clean his apartment, ending up using a cleaner with amonia in it on the tanks and wiped out every single fish he owned in all his tanks. I can't remember the exact count, but I think he lost around 100 or so fish.

yup i lost my whole 100 breeding guppies and some other community fishes all in 1 week due to a very rare type of disease that cause them to bloated and die mysteriously and also the were red patches and dots on all my fishes, i know that i have never seen or heard this kind of disease before in the hobbie.

All 4 of my fish died yesterday :(. I had a goldfish and sucker fish in my tank already. My boyfriend bought me two new goldfish yesterday, since one of my other fish had recently committed suicide by jumping out of the tank while the goldfish was harassing him. He decided to clean my tank while he was at it to be extra sweet. Unfortunately he forgot to put in conditioner and to check the water temperature. Within 15mins all of my fish were dead. :(

Same here.
I guess one of my fish is some crazy-pshyco-murderer, cuz he decided to terrorize, then eat my guppy fry. I now have 6 left out of 10.
Time to call Horatio.

It happens sometimes.
As for your guppy, they take forever to drop all their young. Mine have taken up to three days. I wouldn't worry about her.
