Is its Obama's intention to repeat the failure of the "New Deal"?

He does not see this as a failure. The New Deal grew the government and made them more powerful. The whole stimulus package is geared to do this. They don't want to stimulate the economy that much bc people won't need the govt and the more people who become successful the more people will complain about having to give their tax dollars to people who never tried. Remember, he said it was only fair to redistribute wealth. He also says only the govt can solve the problem that the govt created.

Hoover caused the great depression. FDR fixed it. Ever hear of Hoovervilles? They did not call those shanty towns Rooseveltvilles. BTW, we did not have great economic success in the 80's. Reagan was senile. Sorry but you can rewrite history, but you cannot rewrite the facts.

Control. Once the country is thrown into depression and anarchy, Obama will lead the way for The One that Rules With the Iron Rod, sooner or later. and he will lead us by force. He wants FDR's "success" at taking over the economy.

FDR appointed a general to run things in the economy.

the stimulus will create more and more inflation eventually like never before. The best remedy for the ailing economy was to leave it alone and NOT to print up more money.

This is ridiculous and will enslave America for generations in DEBT.

Don't tell the Dems on here that the new deal was a failure, they all praise FDR and for the life of me I don't know why. They evidently had different history teachers than the rest of us.

And to those who are confused and think the New Deal got us out of the depression, please pick up a history book, World War II got us out of the great depression, not FDR and his new deal plan.

You're a tad confused. The New Deal was what got us OUT of the depression.

Good point, most of the liberal weenies on here won't have a clue what the new deal was and what a cluster fu** it turned out to be, but I have heard that comparison before and I believe there is some truth to it.
