To Christians: Question about prayer language?

Hello. I recently got baptized in the Holy Spirit and received my prayer language....AMAZING. But for 3 days now whenever I pray in my prayer language I keep saying the same phrase over and over and over. I try to say something else but I keep repeating the same thing. Can someone please explain to me why this might be happening? When I first received it, I was speaking all kinds of things and had absolutely no control over it. But now its just "shu shu gota". I have no idea.... Thanks for any help!

Now that you have received tongues, you can also pray and ask to receive interpretation of the tongues. I find myself repeating a lot of phrases as well, but I don't really worry about what I'm praying. I just know it's my "hot line" to God! Sometimes, mine sounds a great deal like latin to me. No worries, just keep praying! And may you have more and more blessings!

    God bless,

The Holy Spirit must really want to speak that. Go girl!

Keep letting Him speak through you. You should not try to say any thing the Holy Spirit is not spaeking through you.

It means that you are properly allowing the Holy Spirit to enter you're soul. It's called speaking in tongues.

I don't like "speaking in tongues" but if you want to take it serious then:

    shun

O.E. scunian "to shun, desist, to hide," of uncertain origin; not found in any other language. Perhaps ult. from PIE root *skeu- "to cover, to hide."

O.E. Gota, L.L. Goth, Gk. Gothoi), from Goth. gutþiuda "Gothic

people," the first element cognate with O.N. gotar "men."

To repeat over and over is a chant and is done to call God/gods towards oneself.

It's the language centre in your brain trying to tell you that you're an idiot for speaking gibberish.
