HELP on making a backdrop for a play! Please!!!?

Ok. My school is doing a play and we need to make huge backdrop. Is there a website where you can upload a picture and they can make it into a large backdrop and then we can buy it? It can't be too expensive please. Thank you!

Update:

By the way, it is a New York scene.

It would probably be too expensive to have one custom made. You could buy the material yourself and paint it. If it is a common show (Sound of Music) or a generic scene (outdoor street) there are a number of places that you can rent them from. Prices will vary depending on how many drops you get and how long you need them. I think you'd be looking at about $1,000 for 3-5 drops for a week, including shipping.

Set rental companies are bound to have New York backdrops - renting is going to be much cheaper than buying. However, have you thought about asking the art department to paint one for you? I've been involved with a lot of school productions and they always like to get as many students involved as possible so it could be a great project for some talented artists.

Now it depends on how big you need it to be.

this is the cheapest place I could find.

A backdrop 10' X 10' would be $130. They price according to size.

    It's not cheap.
