What should I get him?

What are some really good ideas for a Valentines gift?

He's into drums & music, but I don't want to get him anything related to that, because I don't know about that stuff.

He likes clothes & food, but he's pretty picky...

What are some generic ideas, but ones that show I really care?

Any ideas would be great.

Thanks!

Update:

He's 17, almost 18.

We've been together for about 14 months now, & it's a serious relationship..

Before you said he's 17 I was afraid we were dating the same guy!

I got my guy a ring for christmas, a no commitment ring with an interesting decal all around it. It was black, the decal silver. He loves it! He wears it every day.

For this valentines day I painted a sun with a toothpick in his mouth, mirrors for eyes and water on the side because he's obsessed with water. On the side I put drumsticks because he's a drummer :)

It'd be awesome if you could buy a pair of normal drumsticks and paint them :) put those on top of a gift card to his fav. restaraunt (or a gift certificate for a special meal made by you), and a neat clothing item (depending on what he likes).

Source(s): p.s. tell me what you think! & what you end up doing.

Most guys wouldn't mind lingerie. Just don't give it to him to wear.

If he likes drums he might enjoy a pair of Joey Jordison signature drumsticks. Light as a feather. Any percussionist's dream.

Don't over-think Valentine's day, for a guy. Most of us would be happy just knowing a girl went out of their way to do anything for us. Guys don't normally want something like a huge stuffed gorilla holding a heart pillow, but maybe get him a mix of some of his favorite candies.

If you have the money and he dosn't have guitar hero wolrd tour or garage band.

If you don't have the money just come up with a corny saying like "Love is not based on the materials in a relationship but on our care for each other." I would go for it.

    Music and stuff, you say?

Write him a poem (or song if you're musical)

Musicians appreciate the effort that goes into that kind of thing.

If he's more materialistic (and i would hope he's not) get him a slap in the face for not appreciating poems as a musician ;)

Well first decide your price range then....then go from there. Personalized drumsticks are cute. However , you didn't say how long you've been dating soooo that depends on that too.

lolz you edited it just in time!!! Yeppers I would go for a personalized music something or other!!

Get him music because every time he hears that music he will remember the girl who gave it to him. (with drum beats that he loves.)

A teddy bear with a card

    Chocolates

    Card

    Dinner at his favorite restaurant

    jewelery

    your love

How about a nice..not too expensive watch and one of those musical cards, you could even include a stuffed animal.

Write him a note describing your feelings towards him. (Real love is better than a generic gift)

    Yourself. Without clothing.
