2010 season - gonna change the NFL forever?

I still don't believe the 2010 season is gonna have no salary cap. I think this is the worst idea ever.

Lol the Lions, 49ers, Cards and several others can kiss any hopes of a title goodbye after 2010.

Who will become the Yankee's of the NFL, just loading up and spend spend spend on every decent player in sight? Sadly, I see crazy ol Jerry Jones as alot like Steinbrenner, and I could see Jerry going straight for the throat of the NFL roster once the uncapped year rolls around.

Think of FA, you could go in and scoop everyone up if you wanted to.

Stupidest Idea ever.

Update:

Yea they spend cuz JJ knows how much money he makes off merch and tickets etc if his team wins the SB lol.

Thats why I think if it is uncapped, JJ is just gonna go wild.

i think the raiders will try to become the yankees al davis is crazy old man he spend a crap load of money on players that are garbage that cannot pick a draft pick. dropping a whole lot a cash on walker last year leile and few other wideouts its just ridiculous so i think al will try to do it but will spend the money on the wrong players the team that will do it will be the steelers i think to be honest just got the sixth super bowl a chacne of a repeat to get to seven they might load up this year

Not much will happen even if we manage to reach an uncapped season (highly unlikely).

Say you're JJ or Dan Snyder, the two people everyone envisions in this scenario, in an uncapped year. First of all, in an uncapped year you receive 6 franchise tags, meaning the free agent market is going to SUCK. Secondly, you COULD buy some very, very big names, but we all know a return to the salary cap is inevitable, which just means you'll have to cut all the big names you signed anyway! Pointless.

I guess we know why Snyder isn't spending yet lol. Anyways if a team wanted to do that with all the big names being FAs that year then it is obviously a win now mode for the big spending teams because they can't afford to keep the players they got so they would have some cuts in 2011.

They will probably get a deal done. Your guess is accurate, that's most likely what would happen. Jones would be able to outbid other teams for most of the top free agents.

The NFL would go on lockout strike before they went to no-salary-cap.

The cowboys spend tons of money anyway.

No I doubt it will reach the point where there is no salary cap the will get a new deal done.
