I want to buy some wireless headphones & was thinking of buying the Sennheiser R130 model, please could you?
tell me
1. Will they work on my Laptop, old portable TV, music centre and Classic I-Pod?
2. Do you only need a headphone socket
3. Does the Laptop, TV or I-Pod have to be near the power point for the transmitter.
4. What do you have to do to interchange between different audio equip, do you have to keep moving the power lead and transmitter?
Many thanks

I bought a set last summer and love them... the sound quality is great. I have them plugged directly into the Audio/Video Distribution Amp. for the Satellite receiver so whatever I have up on the Satellite dish is also on the headset and I can just put the headphones on to move around the house or in the yard.
You need an AUDIO OUTPUT in the form of RCA jacks or a mini pin jack and you will need to buy adapters to use it with what ever you plan to run it on because the INPUT to the transmitter unit is by RCA PHONO PLUGS... You can take the laptop and the Transmitter unit to any Radio Shack and they can help you get what you need to make it work.
Since I use an A/V DA and have all my equipment running off that unit... whatever is up on the master TV is also on the headphones so there is never any need for me to move the power lead and transmitter.. but you need to understand SIGNAL ROUTING to do this and I am guessing you don't so you may need some help getting it up and running.

Yes.
The base station needs electric power, and will plug into any standard headphone socket.
The leads are only long enough to be about 1.5mts from power point.
