What do I do with extra vases?
I like sending my wife flowers to where she works. But she now has 4 vases there and she's getting another one tomorrow.
The florist told me that for purposes of keeping the flowers in water, for presentation value, and the cost of having a vase versus a few extra flowers--that it's worth getting the vase. I'm paying a lot of money for these flowers so I figure go with the professional advice.
So what responsible, creative, or charitable idea can I come up with to make use out of all these vases?

You could ask the florist if they would take them back and pay a deposit on them.
You could donate them to a thrift store.
You could fill them with flowers from your garden and your neighbor's garden and take them to a hospital, then ask the nurses to give each one to someone who didn't have any.
You could fill them with pretty rocks, seashells, dried flowers or artificial flowers and put them in your home / office.

you could use them later to make a creative gift for someone else. you could fill them with candy or little trinkets and give them to someone.
or you could use them around the house...you could put scented candles in them and use it as a center piece for dinner

just give them to a thrift store. That's what I do with still useable items I don't need any more.
