Now that the season is over - was Favre a victim of the "Madden Curse"?

The Jets did flounder at the the end of the season, and largely because of Favre too. He threw alot of picks this year, and was not one his better seasons stats wise.

Or was his curse the whole Green Bay saga with Ted Thomson?

Or did Madden put some pixie dust on the game, and say "I'll never let anything happen to you Brett, I love you and want to have your babies".

Or did he avoid the curse all together (remember curse does exclusively mean injury for Madden).

Actually the curse can be a terrible season, with no injury just a big decline in numbers. It is rare that injury doesn't hit but it has happened. Ok remember it was before the season we heard he had a sore throwing shoulder or however it was written. Does that count as an injury? It took it's toll on him and by the end it was getting to be too much and he admitted that. I mean I wouldn't say the curse hit him, but you can stretch it to say that's what happened.

No the madden curse has shown us over the past several years that it does not have to be an injury. I don't think anything could have been worse for favre this year so i really think that the madden curse was in effect here. I mean even at the end his teamates turned on him. There really is something to this stuff and any football player who has potential for being on the cover shouldnt be happy they should be terrified.

It reminds me of tecumseh's revenge. we need someone to break the madden curse lol, like reagan broke that one.
