You've found the manufacturer on the back near where you see the year.
Various companies made enormous amounts of "Gold Cards", which have little value today. These include Score Board, Hidden Gems, Pro Line, just to name a few. The Scoreboard Co., owned by Steve Goldin was probably the single most company to flood markets.
As things have turned out, I'm afraid to tell you Goldin turned out to be one of the most dishonest and untrusted names in all of sports collecting history. He intentionally bankrupted his company so as to not have to supply people who pulled autograph, jersey or other such memorabilia redemption cards from the products his company made.
He then bought the company back from a bankruptcy court (actually a judge himself awarded it to him) and began selling under other various names. He even went to Shop At Home and had two front men sell as much of the products as possible before several true collectors, myself included were able to convince the FCC and SAH, he was doing buyers a disservice.
Unfortunate as is the situation, I'm afraid the cards would be worth a minimal amount. If he's sincere on selling them, please don't use eBay or any other site. The fees he'll pay will take an even greater amount away from him.
