Has anybody here ever used "Rhythm Beads"?

I have a very green mare, and I've heard the the Rhythm beads are great for desensitizing, as well as a good tool for natural horsemanship. Can anyone tell me any good experiences with them, as well as how they really work? I want to do all I can to keep my mare's mind as great as it is now!

I actually make them and sell them at local tack stores. I've noticed a number of benefits from using them. Rhythm beads help your horse relax and focus on his body and you/your cues. It also lets you "hear" the horse's stride, helping you find and work with the rhythm of the horse, and making it easier to notice even very slight irregularities in the gait. Rhythm beads also let other animals and riders know you're coming when riding on trail, which can help keep you from coming around a tight corner and startling a group of deer, etc.
