If you could save just one life and it was a choice between a toddler and an embryo, which would you choose?

The toddler. Here's why, it is already born and alive. The embryo is unborn thus has not even developed a conscious mind yet, so death to an embryo would be unknown to it, and would not feel its own death. The toddler can already feel pain and emotion, thus death for a toddler would be highly painful, almost torturous. So on a level of humanity, the embryo would be the first to go. Sorry pro-life people, but I cannot and will not stand to see a toddler be killed whom has so much life yet to live. I'd prefer to see something that has not lived yet die then let one who has lived die.

Toddler- the sentience of an embryo is questionable, and embryos are very likely not self-aware before the development of the nervous system. The toddler, however, is unquestionably self-aware.

The toddler, because it is already a separate being. An embryo is not yet a person.

Wow, that is a hard one, as I am sure you meant it to be. I would have to say the toddler. I would think that the loss of a child you have seen and held would be a harder loss for the parents.

Toddler. The answer is obvious.
