Bank Debit Card: do you know what it means if you say "Debit Exact" when the clerk asks credit or debit?
In NY if you say Debit Exact they know you do not want cashback.
If you say Debit Cash Back it means you would like to choose a cashback amount.
In PA they do not understand. You are better off waiting until they ask if you want cash back.
Is this not a common expression? I am not upset but I hate confusing people when I slip and forget where I am.

No girlie, this is not a common expression. I knew what u meant, after I thought about it for 5 secs. Then again I have some sense, not all peeps do, lol. It's not common at all though, that's the first I've heard of it.

I've been living in California for 10 years, but I've never heard the expression "Debit Exact". I always wait for them to ask me if I want cash back, or sometimes, if I really need cash back and I want to be sure to get some, I tell them myself "I would like $20 cash back, please."

In Kansas they just asked credit or debit. If you want cash back you just tell them yourself. I never heard the other expressions.

In the UK I have never heard the expression. If you use a debit card, you may be asked, "Cashback?"
