The son of God is coming back to claim his own. That day and time and year are unknown. He talks a lot about this in Matthew 24 and 25. In Matthew 25:13 he says, "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour." However, he does give us a hint. In Matthew 24:14 he says, "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come." So basically, once every country and person knows the name of Jesus and either rejects or accepts him. That's why Christians send missionaries out into the world.

We can only assume that it must be close. The majority of prophesy has been for-filled and everything is becoming out of control. The world is out of control; politically, economically, environmentally & socially etc..... This could happen sooner or later, but at the rate these problems are occurring, who knows. Yet if it does come tomorrow, I believe I'm prepared.
The Bible talks of things indicating this as signs just before Christ would step back in and finish the current times. I don't believe time will end on Earth though as such. Daniel 2:44 talks of a new ruler-ship on the Earth led by Christ.

When God says "The time has come for all things to come to an end!"
Then we'll know it is the end of time as we know it!

it start in about 30AD and we are nearing the end of what God calls the times of the gentiles. Its been about 1978 years since it began. One day soon that time will end and God will fulfill his promise to save Israel.
The tribulation will start which will be the final 7 years of mans rule on earth. Then God will return and put all rulers under his rule and set up his eternal kingdom on earth.

The bible says only God knows the answer and if you believe in eternity there is no such thing as the "end of time." Eternity is like circle--no beginning, no end.
