Is Obama Preparing For Civil War?
Obama: "We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."
So what does this statement suggest? It says we need an Army at home. Maybe preparing for Coup d'état then?

Thanks TJ! I mean, I was jut listening to what he was saying all this time, and completely missing what he was meaning. You are obviously very very smart. I could have never got that meaning from what he said. All I heard was powerful well-funded security force. Gawd I'm a dummy!

Hitler had such a force. It was known as SS. At one time it was stronger than German army.

The author of the question is a sarcastic and rude individual. Why is it in America, it seems to be considered civic duty to join a party and be as savage and belligerent as possible to the opposing party?

No, he is not. This is not a military force it is a civilian force with emphasis on community involvement, engagement, and education. It is an outgrowth of the community organizer background. The thought would be that when people are engaged and aware you can do more with diplomacy and education than you can with military force.

He will start one with the implementation of that insanity. I wouldn't think it was so bad if it were like well regulated militias that were under the complete control of the individual states, but somehow I am just sure it would answer directly to the feds.

He's saying that using National Guard to patrol airports is a bit silly.
There's no civil war coming, not unless the recession gets a lot worse. We have our bread and circus and Obama still has that new president smell.

What he is saying is..that in order to better get along with the rest of the world,we cannot keep using our military strength. We have to better understand why some in this world despise us, and how to rectify those feelings.You keep attacking countries hatred of you is a give-in.

Being the Neo-Marxist that he is, he should be intelligent enough to know that he is leading this country down that path right now. This is also why the Dems have introduced HR Bill 645 that establishes six "camps" at military installations. I smell trouble ahead, folks.
