Why are "liberals" always bringing up the skin color of the President?
Do they have a point to make? (Seriously, I can't tell.)
Does whatever their point is make them FEEL good? About themselves?
What is it with that crowd? My reaction to most of this nonsense of theirs is that they're suffering from severe personal problems. Thoughts?
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhy isn't the Obama Administration going to bring Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to trial, civilian or military?
Obama promised to bring Gitmo detainees to trial in civilian courts but it now seems that the top guy isn't going to be tried anywhere. Is the plan to just leave him in Gitmo to ponder the error of his ways?
2 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhat odds do you give Obama on becoming the one-term President he's said he wouldn't mind becoming?
BTW, for the uninformed among you, that was a statement by a pure & unadulterated ideologue. One that was going to "bring a new tone to Washington", mind you.
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoHow's that "Elections have consequences!" thing working out for Obama this time around?
That's what he'd tell Reps when they complained about not being appropriately consulted on major bills like ObamaCare, Cap-n-Tax, FinReform, et al. For the uninitiated, uninformed, or just plaing naive, this is the translation of his statement: STFU & Sit Down – NOW! Apparently, some members of the voting public were more than a little taken aback by this failure to act on his campaign promises to be a new kind of politician.
From the sick look on his face as members of the left-wing mass media held his size 13s to the fire last Wednesday, he now understands that elections do indeed have consequences. Especially for a guy who now knows that the American people were fooled in '08 but that they've awakened & his day is past. Along with that of the soon-to-be former Speaker of the House, who has the temerity to say that she's going to continue to soldier on after one of the most spectacular political failures in American history. Never underestimate the hunger for power of the ideologue. The Reps must be dancing in the streets at the idea that, in addition to Obama, they'll have Pelosi & Reid to run against for the next two years. The Trifecta that keeps on giving, I guess.
2 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWhat's the world coming to when a liberal can't tell you how he FEELS?
Yes, that's right, chilluns, talkin' 'bout ol' Juan Williams being fired by his fellow "liberals". Give that crowd a revolver, and they'd look down the barrel while pulling the trigger. And then blame the gun manufacturer, of course. And if that didn't fly, they'd go after the manufacturer of the bullet. Not super bright, are they.
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWill it be Bush's fault when Dems have their clocks cleaned come November?
I know, I know, it's gonna be hard for the kids to spin it that way - but, watch 'em try! lol
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoI seem to remember Barry going on and on about the economy & jobs when he was running for office; whatever...?
...happened with that?
Do you think that with his & his Dem buds' Socialist successes (and future fantasies) that we can look forward to 10% unemployment forever & ever, just like the Euro Socialists in France, Germany, etc.?
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoAfter 1½ years of King Barry the Great, is anyone wishing that Queen Hillary the Great was in the White House?
Obviously, now that we know that King Barry is a mere mortal (just like the rest of us! lol), I'm wondering if any of the folks on YA who are of the lefty persuasion, and have at any time been supporters of King Barry, are wishing that Queen Hillary had won the nomination in 2008? (We assume, of course, that, had She done so, She would have handily defeated The Evil John McCain.)
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWouldn't it be rich if BP were to declare bankruptcy, shut down operations & tell Barry where he could...?
...stuff his oil spill?
Geez, I'd give all my cats away to see that scenario come to pass! lol
8 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoIs it too early to suggest that Dems & the American people would be better off if Obama took a 6-month holiday?
He could still be paid out of the BP Slush Fund so that Michelle & The Little Ones wouldn't have to suffer due to his insufferability. That would be waaayyy more than fair, wouldn't it?
He could get his bowling score up above 100, learn to shoot under 100 on the links, and shoot hoops with anyone that would let him on their court; all in all, I think it would be a good thing: he'd come back fit and ready to try, try again. As bored as he looks most of the time, I bet he'll go for it in a NY minute!
7 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoShould Dems change from "Give us your money and we'll take care of you." to "Just give us the money, honey!"?
With nice-n-steady 10% unemployment, and spending that is beyond out of control (I know, I know, they HAD to do it! lol), I don't see a whole lotta taking care of going on, do you?
And, please, spare yourself the embarrassment of thinking that the health care boondoggle they rammed through is going to "take care of" anyone once the true costs are out in the full light of day.
Dem Party = Tax & Spend Party. Ain't nuthin' new there, though, is there.
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoTuning in for King Barry the Great's demagoging to the nation this evening? How many times will he say 'I'?
Personally, I tired long, long ago of Barry's tiring style of hectoring, non sequiturs, and just general babbling that I can't imagine anything I'd rather not do than watch him do it all over again.
Now, if Dorothy & Toto were there to pull the curtain back...THAT I'd tune in for! lol
3 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoAt this juncture, how likely do you think it is that Obama is going to end up being considered...?
...a successful President?
6 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoWould you agree that Obama was especially successful in selling the story that got him elected?
For those of you who aren't paying attention, I'm referring specifically to:
1 - Change (To wit: Iraq, Afghanistan, Gitmo, domestic wiretapping, renditioning of bad guys to third countries, bad doo-doo happening in the Gulf of Mexico, etc.),
2 - Transparency (Health Care Reform, Cap & Trade, anything of substance that he has to get done before reality strikes the Dem Party in November),
3 - Reducing the deficit (Well, LOOK at it growing before your very eyes; go ahead, LOOK at it),
4 - A new tone in Washington (Obama: "I'm the chief finger-pointer; no one else gets to point fingers! Got it?"),
5 - And on and on and on.
Those who bought 'Hope' must be sorely disappointed in Obama's performance.
Those who bought 'Change' must be buying handguns with which to shoot themselves. I mean, really, BUSH III ain't "Change", now is he, sports fans?
I continue to be amazed that anyone bought this guy's act given that he had virtually no qualifications whatsoever for the job. No wonder he's floundering about, totally dependent upon Pelosi & Reid for getting anything done, and at a total loss as to how to look Presidential re: the oil spill, even though he's got BUSH II for a model of what NOT to do. Sadly, Obama is an exceptionally lightweight President. Too bad for us. Hey, just my 2 cents! :-)
5 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoDo you agree with the following maxim?
"If you want less of something, tax it; if you want more of something, subsidize it."
Yes & No answers would be really, really cool (for a change! – lol).
