Why is it that so many atheists do not have email or any access to their person?

Some of us get tired of all the hate mail (with plenty of misspellings and bad grammar, of course) from you "loving Christians".

Feel free to email me about anything you'd wish to discuss!

I would say many don't have their email available for privacy reasons and probably because personal threats have been made to them through email. I've found this to be true of theists as well.

I got personal threats for awhile because I stated that my husband is black so I closed off my email until it became old news.

To each his/her own

I choose to leave mine open for any who wish to discuss any questions/answers I may have posted.

We're scared of fundies. The less access to ourselves we give, the less likely they are to know where we live, sleep, our fears, our movie taste, our food allergies. I don't want them to find me and kill me.

Christians can put out all the info they want, because the atheists that disagree with them are peaceful beings.

Why do so many theists make their Q&A private? Scared of something?

Broad generalizations or both unfair and absurd.

Unless you know that every single athiest on YA does not have email support, then your statement is a lie. You are generalizing, assuming that some represent the whole.

And unless you have asked every single one of us the reason, then your reasoning is also wrong.

Actually, that's more common with christians - specifically, creationists, who would otherwise receive email all the time explaining how wrong they are.

I don't want to be disturbed when I take my daily bath in babby blood. It helps keep my summer coat silky smooth.

Some do but many don't. The same is true of theists and you know it.

Some have been harangued by Christians. What do want to do, tell them that they are going to hell?
