Does anyone else believe the recession will last until the governments finally say no to all of the hand outs.?

As soon as there is a hick up the big boys, the friends of the politicians all put their hands out for help. Who else believes the crises will last until the last cent is dragged out of Washington, Ottawa, London etc.

Yes, I believe it will get a lot worse before it ever gets any better. I have had business fail before no one threw me a life preserver. All I see around me is bad behavior being rewarded. I would never ever get away with it but, that is fine by me I am to proud and will continue to work my a** off.

American's lived in a plastic world (credit) bigger, better, and got to have it now. If you never were responsible with money and knew someone was going to flip the bill if you couldn't you went for it? There are no consequences!

Listen there is no longer a recession. We have gone full blown sprint on the downward track.Since our country has taken on the habit of "saving" those poor souls who can't save themselves.. our country has been in trouble. Basically the socialist security system, the not so well fare system, the housing"authority" and all of the other nanny big government spending projects (to take care of the needy) are all a drain on the economic well being of this once fine nation. Spending will not solve anything! Republicans and Democrats are both to blame as well as all of the American citizens for letting it continue. Our money woes are a result of our spending practices. What ever happened to "a penny saved is a penny earned." and "ask not what your country can do for you, instead ask what you can do for your country." Have we forgotten so quickly that it is not government's place to take care of anybody? Government is their simply to protect our rights! State and Federal levels are corrupt. OUR elected officials seem to think that it is their im"moral imperative to provide for baby machines and everyone who "claims" to have a bad back. Tough! Enough is enough and we as true taxpaying citizens will have to stand up one day! I don't get any handouts in my small business! Just because it is my first year in business and I can't even afford a shop yet, I get stuck with twice the amount of social security tax that the average workin for someone else joe has to pay. Is this fair? I don't think so. So, I wrote the socialist security dept a letter asking if I could opt out of their program and never receive any benefit from them AND I would leave the money that has already been paid in on my behalf in there. My response was simply that this was a mandatory tax. Sound like freedom to you? Wakeup! We are already in a micro-socialistic/(poor sympathetic) society. When a business that has EARNED the right to fail is propped up by government and we are reprimanded for being a good concerned taxpaying citizen, that is when we need to be alarmed and start thinking about some form of action to take against the powers that are at large! Republican leaders and Democratic leaders!!!

No. It won't end then. We are printing money that we don't have. We have borrowed to much money and we won't see the end of this recession for more than 10 yrs and only if we don't do another spending bill of any kind until we pull out of this. The reason it will take so long is we are going to have deflation first.

Maybe government is trying to turn smart Business men and women into stupid codependents, kind of like many t.v. commercials where they make the man look stupid and weak.

My first husband (who is passed away) was so codependent on his mother who raised him alone (his father died from Huntington's disease)

His mother was a domineering woman who controlled his life making him feel worthless. Her and I did not get along, because I would not let her overpower me.

Kind of sounds like what government is trying to do to business.

I'm raising my hand on this one. Not looking for a handout either. Spend spend spend. That's what this administration does best. Now to me, if I wanted to end this recession, it would be like you, me and the rest of us cutting up our charge cards and starting anew. We wouldn't keep spending, spending, spending. All that does is dig a deeper hole.

It will last as long as it takes to collapse the dollar and get people to beg for a new currency. That way they can make the change they want and get you to think it was your idea.
