Do bellydancers get tickled by their costumes?

I have been watching some belllydancing vids on YouTube, cause a friend of mine takes a bellydancing class, and I was wondering especially for the girls, where they have all those dangly things on the top, does it tickle? Or do they make the costumes so they don't?

No not really. Most costumes are covered with beads, tassels or coins (depends on the style) which do not tickle. Sometimes the beads slap you a little here and there but it doesn't tickle or hurt. I can't say I even feel them for the most part. The fringe usually hangs off the costume away from the body but even when the fringe hangs right against the skin it has never once tickled me... and I've done it for over a decade.

    Love this question!

I don't find my costumes ever tickle. They itch because of all the beads or glitter sometimes... the only pain is when they are too big in the bust and i have to chicken fillet, or when they fall down a little on my hips causing what I call BCDT (Butt Crack Display Trauma) or when my veil misbehaves and attach's itself to the beads of my costume
