I'm a half-blind, half-mad electric violinist who can't sing but can growl like a Viking on a rampage and crochets in her spare time. I also have three "babies" and two "neices" (all pets).

  • I need help expanding my music library!?

I am a fan of metal and hard rock. So far, I know bands like Iced Earth, Dio, Manowar, Judas Priest, The Condemned, Kamelot Megadeth, Apocalyptica, and Vadis. I would appreciate more band suggestions similar to these. Please no bands that have obviously sold out (new Metallica cough cough).

PLEASE if you don't like metal, if you would rather give me screamo music (I can telll the difference), or if you're one of those "I only listen to death metal" people, I don't want your bands.

  • every time after my parakeet flies...?

I don't know if he's just out of breath, but he starts opening and closing his beak rapidly, with no sound, and his tail twitches up and down, like he's breathing heavy. Is this normal, or should I take him to the vet? I just got him first week of this month, and we've already bonded quite well. I don't want to lose him if it is a medical problem. Thanks

  • I'm having trouble writing for my metal band. Please help?

This song is about "the adder" and I need to insead of just using things I know about the actual snake, i also need things that may make it kindof fantasy oriented, butt when I try to think of anything more, it dies. Here are my lyrics so far:

    The Adder

Those who loathe those brothers with scales and fangs

    Watch your actions with caution

For he strikes those who would smite him

His glory in one shining scale worth more than all of your gold!

    The adder waits for destiny

    His watchful eye never blinking

He sees a weakness, then he strikes

His mouth is death to all ?????

I don't need helpp revising, I just need to finish writng it, I would appreciate any phrases, words, verses, ideas, etc you think might it into the song. If I use any of your material, you will be thanked in our CD booklet, with credit for helping me with this song.

  • interested in LARP...?

I am interested in joining a LARP during summer break, but I'm not sure if there are any LARPs that I don't have to drive to Virginia to participate in. I live in Maryland and the only LARP I know about is Darkon, but I want to see if I have any other options as well. Also, do you know where I can get garb at reasonable pricing? instead of $60 for a ring belt, maybe like... $30 or even $25? Thanks muchly!

  • ok serious question: I just saw a commercial that talks about Ford's "F-series" which is supposed to be?

America's favorite car... Does Ford have an O-series, an R-series, or a D-series? I'm asking this as a totally serious question.

  • I am looking for a band?

I'm going to put starting a band on hold until I can join one and see how it works... problem is, I want to play metal and I'm a violinist. Metal bands who use violins that I've heard usually use violins in the slow parts and not once have I heard a violin in thrash, progressive, power, or any of the heavier, harder stuff. That's what I want to play. I live in Odenton. answer and send a message if you want an electric violinist in your band!

  • What subgenre of metal does the band Dio fall under?

I know that sometimes you can't categorize bands, and sometimes you shouldn't, so don''t go flaming about "metal is metal" and all that. BUT I need help. I am looking for bands that are similar in style to Dio. I don't exactly think it's power metal, but then again, I'm still a noob. Please, if you know what you're talking about, steer me in the right direction.

  • Will this collar I made be strong enough?

I crocheted a collar with a handle, also called a deployment collar, out of Red Heart acrylic worsted weight yarn. It is single crocheted and a tight stitch. The handle is connected with crochet, then folded back and crocheted over again, picking up two rows on the connection points.

I am not thinking of doing protection training, as she's 5 years already, but I think it would be useful when company comes over so I can reach down and correct her if she gets out of hand.

  • I had a weird dream when i was younger...?

When I was around 16, I kept having a dream over a span of ten days where I couldn't move and at first I had a very painful tingling literally ALL OVER my body (including odd places like inside my head and in all my muscles) like your foot falling asleep. At first I was scared that I was dying and that was how it felt to die but then I finally moved something and i woke up and could move. Over the span of these ten days, though, every night it became less and less painful until on the last day of my dream the tingling was replaced by some insanely intense tickling. Again, all over my body. What's weird about it is, I had some personal space issues, and I normally didn't like to be tickled but that last night was like paradise. I woke up thrashing around and laughing my head off ha ha. I keep wondering if it will happen again, but it's felt like ages.

Oh and also there was never anyone in the room that could have caused the tickling.

  • Do bellydancers get tickled by their costumes?

I have been watching some belllydancing vids on YouTube, cause a friend of mine takes a bellydancing class, and I was wondering especially for the girls, where they have all those dangly things on the top, does it tickle? Or do they make the costumes so they don't?

  • Has anyone had this happen before?

I think I had a recurring bout of sleep paralysis a couple years ago, just figured out what it was, but it was real strange. First, every night in a row for ten nights, it would happen, and I was stick straight in my bed when I would "wake up". For the record, I'm NEVER stick straight in my bed. The first night, felt similar to, but much worse than, say, a foot that has fallen asleep and is just waking up. But every night after that, the sensation became less and less painful and actually on the tenth night, it tickled so bad I was laughing my head off for minutes even after i came out of paralysis because I was remembering the sensation. The paralysis and the pain was scary, at first, but it started to get "old" after a bit and I knew the routine. Usually, I would come out of paralysis by finding the finger or toe that I was actually able to move. Once I wiggled my ears, though that has no bones
