Are able bodied, English speaking, hetero white men discriminated against in the workplace in favour of others?
It seems "affirmative action" and "equality" always lead tp less qualified people being hire base on gender. race, etc.

Yes, they often are especially in big companies or government jobs. In smaller companies with only a hand full of employees the owner might instictivly want to hire them or promote them but it would be hard to prove out of 3 employees and only he was promoted.
I work in a shipyard with a diverse workforce. We promote based on skills so have many foremen who aren't white men. Yet somehow every corporate officer and every staff member making more than 65K are white men and always have been. My next logical promotion would be to replace a white man who has had his job since 1968 he is 66 but doesn't seem to want to retire. If he retired and I wasn't promoted I couldn't prove it was because I was a women. If I was promoted but not given his pay and benefits it could be because I have only been with the company since 2002 and don't have his experience. He is a corporate officer but I might not be.

yes
the white male worker in the usa is the only individual without some form of affirmative action or equal employment opportunity protection
you cannot be discriminated against if you are female, black, hispanic, oriental, jewish, muslim, hindu, etc. only the christian white male is without protection until he turns 50 - and it is useless once he is 50
Source(s): i have lived it - i lost out on a promotion to a black who had less experience in supervision than i did, and had supervised considerably less people than i did - R.S.Lv 61 decade ago
