Yeah why not, we have already helped them out by giving them a bunch of money...why not let the govt. run it and make shure that the CEO's of the bank aren't using money unwisely...but then we are going to need someone to make shure that the govt. isn't doing the same thing!

those 2 issues are commonly yet not completely autonomous of one yet another. I'lll clarify below. lowering the federal deficit is in basic terms a million element of coping with the financial disaster. Of the two that's the smaller subject. lowering the financial disaster gets my nod for being the extra extreme of the two. i'm unable to apply the be conscious "fixing" in that context because of the fact economies are continually in a state of flux and alter. there's no everlasting fix. lowering federal deficit is in any respect situations something which needs to be evaluated as something which needs to ensue. notwithstanding at situations a short over-spending via the government can enhance the cost of forex that may invigorate an financial device. The capture is that not something comes and not using a cost and doing that's something this is on no account sustainable for an indefinite volume of time. on the different hand i think of that for the time of my lifetime the government has over-spent each and every 3 hundred and sixty 5 days. this is a reason for our modern-day financial disaster. and not using a fit financial device the deficit could advance if inflation have been t kick in extra aggressively.

No, because that wouldnt fix it. That would worsen it. And besides which, we cannot trust the government to actually keep it "temporary".

No.. the government is a larger screw up then the banks .. just let them work out the own problems or be sold off. they just got a bail out .. just fire the people at the top that caused then problem and hire someone with a brain. Not someone who is just trying to fill there pockets at the account holders and tax payers expense. people need to worry.. things are just getting started ..the snow ball is still at the top of them mountain. there will be a number of people sticking out of the snow ball by the time it hits bottom.

No. Nationalization of private industry is communism. Wrong is wrong, and will never be right.

Here are a few temporary government programs:

    Social security

    Farm subsidies

    Federal income tax

As you can see, the government doesn't do temporary.

Sure. The government has done just a splendid job with everything else they control, why not the banks.

    No.

I hope we keep some of what makes us uniquely American during this socialism crisis.

they already have their hands in the banks. they will get in deeper when they ask for another trillion to bail them out this summer.

Oh heck no. Some of us prefer less government control, not more.
