Remember when your 3rd grade teacher told you that there were "no stupid questions"?

How old were you when you realized that was a lie? From some of the questions I've seen recently I guess it really does take a village to raise an idiot. (I keep getting spanked for poking fun at some questioners)

i was present that day when the teacher said that, lol ,their is a lack of information given sometimes on a question that makes it almost impossible to answer, and sometimes you cant read between the lines,if only yahoo would have been around when my teacher said this i think she would have rethought about what she had said, sometimes it takes a really clear mind and a really good sense of humor to answer some of these questions, its like this on other sites also, there just more of it goes on here because of the attendance yahoo has, through it all though i often remember what my teacher said, try and understand what there not saying as much as what they are trying to say, good luck.

Actually, if the person sincerely doesn't know the answer, it's really not a "stupid question."

The questions that amuse me are along the lines of ,

"I'm going to rebuild my transmission, where's the starter and how do I take it off?"

When I got on here. Sometimes I like to answer stupid questions with stupid answers. Scare some people, make 'em feel like idiots.

    Source(s): Very good question.

My teacher didn't tell me that. Apparently, your teacher never heard or read questions like "How to get a girl pragnet," or "My cat just got mauled by a pit bull. What should I do?"

  • there is no such thing as a stupid question, however the individual asking it, that is a whole different situation. how about the fact that we see the same questions several times over...
