How can you tell if someone is really a NAVY SEAL?

Mother's boyfriend talks about it all the time. Says he's a Navy Seal. Talks about "his boys" and what "they" endured in all these "secret" battles. I got half a mind to whip his butt to see if he is for real. Are there height limits? He's a tall dude. Wears his little trident pin and talks trash where ever he goes. Someone help me.

Yeah you can find out by the other answers but dd214 in a bar? Nope, if you wanna find out if the suspect in question is who he says ask him 3 questions...

    1. What class were you in

    2. Who was your swim buddy

    3. What color is the boat house at Hereford..j/k that's SAS from a movie

    3. Who was honor man at graduation

and if you wanna grIll him, ask him about the grinder, what his Asvabs scores were, what's an elephant walk, and was he ever a sugar cookie.

If he answers even number class he was in Coronado

Odd number he was in Dam Neck VA

If his age is less than 30 his class number should be in the 300's

If he is 40's it's in the 200's

If he is on 50's the 100's

Most tell you the answer with body language, rhis stuff never leaves you. Like cpunting to 10 he can rattle off...or if you are a douche you may get knocked out by a former seal. Active duty naval special warfare operators do NOT brag about the work they do....

Quiet professional you can tell em apart a mile away.

Get a No Cost Background Check Scan at https://biturl.im/aU3xq

Its a sensible way to start. The site allows you to do a no cost scan simply to find out if any sort of data is in existence. A smaller analysis is done without cost. To get a detailed report its a modest payment.

You may not realize how many good reasons there are to try and find out more about the people around you. After all, whether you're talking about new friends, employees, doctors, caretakers for elderly family members, or even significant others, you, as a citizen, have a right to know whether the people you surround yourself with are who they say they are. This goes double in any situation that involves your children, which not only includes teachers and babysitters, but also scout masters, little league coaches and others. Bottom line, if you want to find out more about someone, you should perform a background check.

Here's the thing, those Tridents can be bought at most Navy Surplus stores, so that isn't sufficient evidence. If you challenge him to a fight and he is an ex-Seal your going to lose, if not you'll win. The best way to find out is ask him if he has his DD-214 and if you can see it ? Another than that take his word for it or leave it. Plus my wife (MA 2nd class Navy) tells me that most Seals won't talk about it anyways. Hope it helps.

Navy seals don't boast about being a navy seal. It's in the creed and part of what it means to be one

Ask to see his last FITREP or his OER if he is an officer, he should have a copy. You could ask to see a copy of his DD-214. Does he wear a Navy uniform with the trident. If he does do this at work, in the military, he probably is. Otherwise, there would be serious repercussions for improperly wearing a uniform.

there are a lot of fake warriors out there and the real seals find about them,if you go through the veriseals.org or N.S.W.A.authentication.for now ask him his class #,seals never forget it. seals never brag about medals tridents awards commendations .ask him if he was in team 6.this is the elite class within the elite.everyone wants that so ask him if he was in team 6.seals never advertise their emotional war stories.you have to have a legit complaint,-your complaint should include any bragging to friends family, using it to impress and pick up women, any publications he wrote, stories or any money he earned speaking about his adventures. also wearing fake uniform badges.got it this is very serious-all seals know each other,it's a small but prestigious group.listen please don't challenge him,he maybe deady dangerous.have him checked out first-then tell your mother i know you are doing this for her.so use your head.be solid

I would say the telling factor is that he wears the pin everywhere, that is enough evidence for me that he is a fraud. My whole family is military, so I've been around a bit in my day, and my brother is a Marine. One of his buddies was a SEAL, real nice guy, quiet, intelligent and respectful. That is the mark of a SEAL, in my opinion, but I'm an old school guy, and old Army too.

    pkz6996,

Well I guess Jessie Ventura was not a soldier?

He did not see any combat in Vietnam. He was only stationed in the Philippines.

Me, I was only in the Air Force went to Vietnam a few times, got left there with an M16 and some ammo once and they told me they would come back for me in a few days, which obviously they did. I have a great deal of admiration for combat soldiers. When people ask me about my service I tell them I was in the Air Force stationed in SE Asia but I was NOT a combat soldier.
