Are you buying less than at the same point last year?

Consider all your shopping, from groceries to clothes to cars to gasoline to toys to vacations, etc. Dollar for dollar, are you spending more, less, or about the same?

Well in all fairness, I did get a new car last year, but it was only because I got an inheritance, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to get it. Less on groceries, less on food, more on gassssssss, my husband travels for work. Well I am not sure what you mean by toys, but our computer died, so yes, we did have to buy a new one. WWWAAAHHH No, on vacations. We bought another puppy, and she cost more than our last puppy, her vet care will be less, so we will probably balance out there. I think our vet is the only area we are not willing to skimp on. We cut back on water, and utilities. Our phone bill went up because my husband needs a phone for work and the school won't pay for it. I guess we are willing to cut back in any area, except for our vet.

I have not bought a new car or truck or motorcycle in the last three years because i was afraid the economy would fail.. You can only send so many jobs overseas and the people that live here won't be able to afford what is made here and elsewhere... and the answer is yes i have conserved and spend a lot less now than i did a year ago..

We have a house now, which costs a lot more than our old apartment, but we spend less on luxuries like clothes, dinners out, and toys.

Actually, I spent more. We just bought a new washer, dryer, freezer and bed.

But besides those things, I would say my normal expenses have gone down. We drive less and have been a lot more careful about gift spending. For example, we made everyone's gifts for Christmas except for Santa's deliveries.
