Will Michael Phelps miss his bong? He was such a bragger about predicting his medal win. Does he deserve it?
And most of his endorsements are sticking with him. I think he bragged too much. He acted like he was God.

The real question is-with that lung capacity-how many bong loads does it take for the best swimmer ever to get high? And how could he afford that habit with those lungs?

A bong hit isn't a performance-enhancing drug. But Phelps didn't deserve his fame and success. He didn't work for it, it was all there from talent. That happens to swimmers all the time, every few years or so there is one who has some natural technique that is just so much better than everyone else that they win with hardly any effort at all. Like with Janet Evans, and Mark Spitz. It can happen in swimming because swimming is a young sport, barely 100 years old, and constantly being refined. And not so many people are involved in it at a serious competitive level.
Try winning 9 golds in a centuries old sport like track for example. First you would have to have the IOC add dumb rules for running methods nobody uses in real life, to match swimmings "breaststroke, butterfly and backstroke." (backstroke is used in real life somewhat, but not for racing. "Freestyle" started as any stroke, and it's always side-stroke, cause that's what's fast). Like running backwards. Or add a hurdles version of every event, instead of just 2 of them. Even then you would have to be the greatest from 100 to 400 to have a chance of winning 9. Nobody has won the 100, 200 and 400 in one Olympics, ever. Forget getting more than 2 wins at distances over 400 meters, either. Distance multiples are even harder to pull off.
Phelps was just kind of born a great swimmer. He didn't spend 10 years training, and then suddenly evolve into it, like Usain Bolt did. He didn't sweat his whole life for one shot at gold, like John Ngugi in 1988 and countless others. He doesn't even really seem to care about it. It's just what his parents brought him up to do, like an after-school activity.
I don't care about the pot, but I don't like Michael Phelps. No sympathy. Let him suffer. If he doesn't deserve the rap for having a bong, he didn't deserve his fame either. He was a straw hero.
