Funny noise on startup.?
For the past week everytime I turn on my computer there is a funny quiet loud rattling noise. It dies down and eventually goes away. What could this be? Is it a sign I need to do something BEFORE it really stuffs up and I can't boot up? Could it be the hard drive? I have opened it up and had a look and there is nothing there that would indicated anything, such as a cord hitting the fan.

It must be a fan or a drive.

It might be a loose fan. Once you turn on your computer your fans go on. eventually the fans die down.
