Can someone please find me a circuit diagram for a 50 amp 12 volt variable speed controller?
I am building an electric trike thing and I need a throttle to regulate the current (which will be quite allot!) to the motor.
Like don't take this the wrong way, your input is appreciated. But when you turn the key to your car, you'll get upwards of 100 amps flowing from the 12 volt battery in your car to the starter motor.. also, your computer power supply is capable of pushing up to 30 amps.. i kinda just a need a big variable speed controller that can take the grunt of 50 amps, if it got to be that high. i don't want stuff to start melting at 40 kph hahahaha

I don't think you are going to get 12V to push 50 amps. The circuit would have to have a max resistance of .24 ohms and that would have to be done with a variable ohm resistor (a rehostat for a throttle). You are going to need a lot more voltage.
