Most CD chops either offer rarer cd's and can therefore afford to sell at a higher price, or the bid retailers can sell at a cheaper price knowing people would rather buy the cheap cd than dl it because they get the physical cd and the album art, etc, etc...

I haven't bought a CD in forever! But I know that if my favorite band come out with a new Cd, I would go buy it because I have all of them and would want the new one too.
And old people who don't know how to download songs still buy CDs, and people who don't have computers or internet still buy CDS.
I am sure my grandkids will one day ask what a CD is... Now I know how my parents feel with their 8tracks.

I still buy CD's. I don't understand the Download freaks. A computer or Ipod cannot project music at the same level. And I like to have the Artwork and everything!

A lot of people download music, and a lot of people buy CD's (me included). Whenever I go to a music store it's always full of people!

Well people who actually enjoy hearing music still go buy cd's. The difference in sound quality between an MP3 and a CD is huge. Its kinda like watching a movie in full screen (MP3) versus widescreen (CD).

Because there are still enough NORMAL people in this world that will go out and buy the CD like a real person should.
