Hypothetically Speaking, had President Bush submitted the identical stimulus package Obama just put into law?

Bullshit. Bush and Reagan both passed stimulus packages with Democratic support. Clinton and Obama on the other hand, had their bills uniformly obstructed by Republicans, even in case when Obama went to great lengths to reach out to Republcans. Hell, if you remember the 90's, Republicans even threatened to shut down the government rather than work with Democrats.

The Dems are all for spending, they'd pass any spending bill. If Bush was still there, hopefully the fiscal conservatives would have advised him to wait it out and implement tax cuts only for the time being.

Dems are all for massive government spending. Most of them would have realized this bill gives them what they want and voted for it.

I think many of the GOP would have opposed it, but not nearly as many that did because it was Obamas.
