A Question About Melaleuca and Cleaning Products?
My friend visited with me tonight about joining Melaleuca "the Wellness Company" which sells supposedly safer and more effective cleaning and hygiene products.
The prices seemed really high to me, and I was uncomfortable with having to pay a membership fee just to get the products and HAVE to make a purchase every month.
Isn't it possible to make good household cleaners yourself with non-toxic ingredients? Any ideas about this, and any thoughts on Melaleuca?

Yes, Melaleuca is pricey and this is because you are supporting a multi-level marketing structure. Their products ARE good but it's unfortunate you can't just go to the store, buy them and try them. Making the membership commitment plus minimum monthly purchases is annoying, and also being pressured to sign people up....
Try Method products that are sold at Target. They are people and pet friendly, work very well and are VERY reasonably priced.
And yes, you can make some stuff, too. For instance, my wife mixes hot water and vinegar in a spray bottle to clean our laminate floor. It does a great job and dries in minutes and we don't worry about the toddlers getting in to it.

It is a multi level marketing deal and it's the same old thing the more people you sign up and the more they sign up the more money you will make from there activity. The products are usually 3-5 times higher than they should be as all the people are doing is selling memberships as that's how the money is made so if you feel your a good sales person go for it. It's no different than amway or any of the other Multi Level companies.

Asking questions on google is one solution:
When I google "how to make environmentally safe window cleaner" many answers appear. I did this last summer & an answer came up that was in a book that was in my local library system.
Googling for cleaning recipes I suppose would be simplest just as some google food recipes.
Source(s): I use vinegar and water for my floors. Bathrooms get a little borax or baking soda in addition. Google these three cleaners and multiple uses pop up. The store bought floor cleaner with lemon attracted ants! Vinegar naturally discourages ants. - wellhellothereLv 61 decade ago
Your Answer:
I have never heard of the company but try these
