What legal recourse do I have?

I live with my grandmother and unfortunately she has the habit of letting in strays. Human strays. This loser came in and has done nothing but make rude ignorant jokes and actually thinks it is amusing to see my grandmother aggravated. He even takes my stuff if I happen to leave it in a public area. She says to just ignore it and has never been able to tell one of her strays that he has to go. Lately though it has gotten a lot worse. It has pretty much become an open hostility between the two of us and every time he sees me he gets right up in my face or right next to me(way to close for comfort). There is no way I am going to leave and I can't run away every time he enters the room. Is there any law that can protect me from this?

Update:

Yes I have talked to her, no she will never ask me to leave but neither will she ask him to leave. Her response is always to 'just ignore it' or 'just don't get angry' I ignored his insults to me but when he is willing to agitate my grandmother and insult my family he crosses the line and i won't tolerate it(unfortunately she will)

Update 2:

Oh yeah, in case you didn't get the question I am asking what laws can protect me from his harassment, and I am specifically addressing his coming into my personal space, before he gets violent. Please don't tell me to just talk to my grandmother.

Update 3:

I am not a minor or a dependent. She is 80 years old and has had several falls (no damage thank goodness) before she allowed me to move in. I am the only one who was at loose ends as far as housing goes and am here only til my parents sell the house and move in. My chances don't look to good though with the current market. And no I cannot turn to my relatives on this.

Sorry, but there's nothing legally you can do at this point. If he steals from you or becomes violent or threatening, call the police.

If your grandmother is choosing a total stranger's needs over yours, it's time to move out. It's her choice to make.

If you believe your grandmother to be incompetent or unable to care for herself, call Adult Protective Services in your county.

    Good luck.

If you are a minor, report this immediately to your school counselor or to Child Protective Services.

Have you talked to your grandmother about this yet?? You are blood related and you should come first, if anyone is asked to leave, it should be the bum stray!!
