Do not be fooled, confiscating weapons is secondary to big brother. This bill, combined with the HR 645 bill out of Florida will make the entire United States a military zone. The bills would quickly set pressenence to each other yet the legal gun owners will not stand for their rights being trampled on,and rightfully revolt. This falls right into the scenario that the Government wants, a reason to enact nation wide martial law.

The good thing is HB 0687 tramples all over the 14th amendment, and will never pass www.freerepublic.com/focus/ f-news/ 2188159/ posts, HR 645 though may get through, then all they need is a reason to start the roundup. www.dailypaul.com/node/80801

I feel like a jerk saying this, but at least now I know that CA is not the only state passing increasingly stupid gun laws. Microstamping of cartridge cases is the latest and greatest here. U.C. Davis (a state university) did a study which proved that the stamp could be filed off with ordinary hand tools in about 10 minutes, and that at least half of the test-fired cases were illegible. Not to mention that revolvers and existing firearms are unaffected. Never deterred by logic or rational arguments, the legislators soldier on...

As a property adjuster I can tell you that the liability insurance you are talking about would not be what they are looking for.

The want you to go buy a "Firearms Liability" policy.

By the way, most of the "Big" carriers are based in Illinois, somebody is getting paid to play

Ya, and the insurance also must cover acts of intent. So if you murder someone with that weapon, the insurance is liable. Now tell me, WHAT insurance company will sell that insurance?

    There will be NO ONE.

This is the Socialist Liberals form of gun control.

People said it wasn't going to happen, and now those sheep need to wake up and smell the sellouts.

Yes I did read that. If you like guns, or your 2nd amendment rights, IL is not the state you should be living in.

Welcome to Illinois politics. Did I mention that we recently exported this brand of politics to Washington DC???

We can all rest easy cuz Barry was the only honest Chicago politician... If only Fitzgerald had left the tapes rolling...

Yes, I'm aware of it. Are you aware that nearly every single homeowner's policy sold in the USA today includes a million dollar liability clause? Saying this will effectively ban guns for most folks is false.

Yep. Read about that. This is why I will never move to IL.
