If 59% of America wants the stimulus, does that mean Republicans hate democracy?
http://www.gallup.com/poll/114577/Stimulus-Support...
In voting against the will of the people, does that make them fascists? Is there some way to kick them out of office before 2010? At this rate, they make it a crime to be a Democrat (since most people in the country are), and make you swear you hate Obama upon penalty of death (since most people like him).
February 11th was before Obama was elected?
Can you seriously not read a website, say what? Right side of the chart is the newest, left side is the oldest. It also happens that the newest poll has the highest support. Try passing first grade before commenting again.
Janice - more americans are democrats. To provide an accurate sample of the nation, they'd have to have more democrats than republicans.

Maybe you believe the Stars & Bars is a symbol of the american struggle! We, here in the real world, think it represents; tyranny of the worst kind!

I'm a Republican. I don't hate Obama, I don't think it is a crime to be a Democrat (I was one once too). However, I think the stimulus isn't. It appears to be a lot of spending on special interest programs, like Harry Reid's "bullet train" from Southern California to Las Vegas (and Reid is from where? - Nevada!) The bullet train has been proposed for many years, but there is the "train of thought" (pardon the pun) that the EPA will never allow it (it would have to run through the Mojave Desert National Preserve) and it won't end up being a bullet train after all, as it would need to make stops along the way. For 8 billion dollars, there should have been more thought put into this, before it was earmarked in this bill.

Do you every study history? There have been other countries that have tried things like the stimulus bill and it NEVER worked! We have a deficit and Obama just added more money to the deficit by wanting to spend it on things that we really don't need at the moment. Your saying that people who have a lot of debt should just spend more and get more debt? That is GREAT advice. By the way, gallup polls aren't always accurate. I have never been asked for my opinion and I don't think many people I know have ever been asked either. There are a lot of Democrats that hate the stimulus bill also. Too bad politicians are only in it for power. They could care less about the future.

Once upon a time 99.99% of the people thought that the world was flat. They were wrong.
I know very few of the details of this stimulus-package and thus am wary of it (besides the fact that I, personally, don't need it; employed by the same organization for almost 26 years and I'm debt-free; I live within my means). I suspect that most americans don't know much about the stimulus-package but are grasping at straws.

I even have heard extreme suited-wing conservatives like Rush say that liberals hate usa. i ask your self how lots he skill that or if he's basically attempting to get scores. of direction, this is often his crutch whilst making outrageous statements, that he's in basic terms a communication instruct host. it quite is humorous whilst remebering the a number of rants we heard from the conservative suited in the process the Bush administration and evaluate them to what they're asserting now: THEN: a million. he's our president and you may desire to stand by making use of him. 2. The force-by making use of media basically throws statements available and want something sticks. 3. The liberals have not have been given any new concepts, they only hate President Bush. 4. in the journey that your no longer with us you're against us. 5. The liberals wish the rustic fails so as that they are able to get returned in power NOW: a million. we could desire to bend over and take it basically because of the fact he's our first black president 2. Teabagging all people 3. David Letterman got here up with a sparkling slogan for the Republican social gathering: "We have been given no longer something" 4. we are all in this jointly 5. i'm hoping Obama fails

The republicans scream about too much spending, yet they've spent how many trillions in Iraq? And for what want reason? They weren't screaming about too much spending then. I honestly cannot understand why it's okay to spend 3 Trillion (yes 3 times the amount of this stimulus package) in Iraq, but it's not okay to spend this money on our own country to create jobs and try to turn the economy around before we end up in another depression.
I just do not get it. If there are any republicans out there who can justify why it's okay, please do so. If your argument is that it was for the best interest of our country, please don't say it. It was not, it has done no good to America and we have over 4,000 KIA because of it. and for that matter, can you prove that this recovery package won't be in the best interest of our country?
Truthfully, I think the people who can't see that our country is in a severe economic crisis are the ones who don't want the stimulus package.
Those are the people like the poster above, who has kept the same job for 26 years and has no debt. What would he do if his job was yanked out from underneath him and he literally could not find another job (especially due to outsourcing)? Would he want an economic recovery package that created jobs, so he could get another one to support himself with? Of course he would. But he isn't in that situation right now, and many people cannot see outside themselves and their own lives.

No. It means that 41% of the people are not susceptible to being brainwashed into thinking that the stimulus will cure much of anything. It's just good money being thrown after bad.
You question really, and the pseudo-logic behind it , doesn't make much sense.

since fascism seeks to create a single party gov't, i would suggest the Republican actions are decidedly anti-fascist. fascism forces citizens to forego self interest to the collective interest of a nation, race, class, etc. determined by a dictatorial leadership. the Republicans are standing up for their constituents who disagree with the gov't stimulus economic ideology. it is an example of the checks/balances in a republic which keep pure democracy or fascism from taking over.

Look at a poll of people who've SEEN some version of it.
Very few people have seen ANY version of the bill. Almost no one aware of even a single item in the bill favored passing it.
Congress and the White House were deluged with calls running about 100-1 AGAINST it.
Even if people "really" favored it, would YOU vote for a bill you weren't allowed to see first? (You would if your Dear Leader told you to, wouldn't you?) Not ONE GOP Congressman was allowed to even SEE the final version of the bill before the vote.
No one in favor of Americanism voted for that bill. No exceptions.
The bill itself is a fascist wet-dream. To call voting against it fascist is just retarded.

Of 1100 people polled, mostly democrat, 59% approved the stimulus. You have to read all of the information not just the parts that you agree with.
