There's a free trial version on the Microsoft website. You get 60 days with a chance to buy at the end of the period.

Legally NEVER
Illegally however depends upon your position and locality: If you are in some developing nation, you will for sure find a copy of the software for approximately free (pay just the price of the compact disk.
or u can even get it from some generous friend of yous (sharing )
But mind it as the soft ware is propertary, do not go about pirating it as you may even get into serious trouble.

No, that's illegal.
You can buy it, that's about it.
Or you can go to OpenOffice.org. It is a free alternative to MS Office. It has programs similar to Word, Powepoint, and Excel. It also has a few more programs like a Drawing and something for Formulas.

legally it is not possible......
if you are student you might be eligable for cheap software or if you work for a big company (or your parents) you might be able to get a copy for your home computer if you live with them.
alternatively you could try open office, does most of what office does, but it is free.
