Why are there random red hairs in my beautiful black goatee?
i am 50% white and 50% japanese, all of the other hair on my body is black, but there are about 10 red hairs in my goatee... can i get a scientific explanation of sorts? i also have a 50% white and 50% black friend with this same experience. we're both about 20 and athletic. thanks.

This is very common. Beard hair is usually a different colour than anywhere else. Very often, there will be quite a few reddish hairs in there. Why? I don't know. Mother Nature likes to have fun with us!
Being of mixed ancestry can cause all sorts of unexpected things to happen. Somewhere in your past, there are some red-heads, and it is trying to come out. Nothing to worry about. You can colour it if it really bothers you, but I'd just leave it alone. It may change when you grow up. In the early years, you get many unusual things going on.

My brothers moustache/beard went from black to red from using a bong instead of a pipe when smoking his weed.

hey dont worry i too have about 2-3 red coloured hair it doesnt affect us dear so skip this promblem from your list

i dont know but when my mum starting getting white hair, her hair first turned red and THEN white.
but ur 20, so i dunno *shrugs*
