I would assume it would be the hammer and sickle as Hitler's reign of evil as it was was relatively short.

Paulcouso makes a good point for present times though. It seems that throughout history nations turn evil just before their collapse because of, and in their efforts to control the world, and I believe this is the page the USA is on.

Why don't they get it!? One world government never has worked, and it won't work now!

I'd offer a third option; the greatest loss of human life has been seen beneath those carrying any depiction of the crucifix. But, of course, it also mandates the creation of human life like no other force does, so I guess it all equals out.

But, as the above answerer stated; the reign of the German Nazionalle Socaliste party was pretty short compared to that of the USSR. But it's hard to tell; I know and work with quite a few people that come former Soviet Bloc countries, and they really don't have all that much bad to say about it. They didn't like it, but we don't much like our government these days either. Good question.

However, in terms of the successful implementation of socialism, and the successes that it can achieve under the right conditions (obvious human rights atrocities aside) The Germans did it a lot better. I drive an Audi along with my Jeep, for a reason. Their engineering rocks.

Hey what about "the butchers apron" that's a term used by my father when referring to the American flag?
