If the email is asking for your password It's a scam. Yahoo! would never request personal information in an unsolicited email. "Phishing" for your private information These deceptive emails are used to commit identity theft, and lock you out of your yahoo account by changing your password DO NOT respond. See what yahoo say about this with link below.

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/security/account_...

You can report this with the phishing form below.

    http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/security/forms/ph...

You can forward the email to.

    phishing@cc.yahoo-inc.com.

I have never heard of this. Before you open it why don't you go to your profile and at the bottom click help you can get any information that you want from there. If you have been using Yahoo without problems I don't think they would do this. They have already everything they need to know. Sometimes you may get a box on your screen that says sign in but that's all.

  • Since just about anyone (including scammers) can create a @yahoo.com eddress, most official mail fromYahoo! comes from this domain: @cc.yahoo-inc.com

However, it appears the YA team is in the habit of sending mail from <y_answrs_team @yahoo.com>, something that prompts questions such as yours or ... worse.

Yeah it sounds like a scam to me as well. I would send the email to yahoo answers to verify, and wouldn't send them my info.

Yahoo will never make you do that. Just by logging IN you are verifying your account details.

If you on't know where you're getting this message from, then on't send it. I'm pretty sure its just somebody trying to get your yahoo information or details. So it's best if you don't. Hope i REALLY helped =]

    Think about it.

You are LOGGED IN to check your mail.

and they want you to verify your details... you did that when you signed in.

Scam, send this person a fake one, piss em off a little.
