What is the title and the auther of the book?
Well, a few years back, I remember reading a book.
I don't remember the title nor the author.
I just remember the book cover and the story.
The book cover is black with a house made out of money I think with fire works. And I remember it was a pretty old looking book.
The story is about people who have to find out who is a fake or who is a real. If they find out. They win a million dollars. And the doorman or something is the fakie.
But yeah it's an awesome book. I totally loved it.

The cover you described is that from the Puffin Modern Classics edition of the The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin.
The book follows Turtle, a tom boyish type girl who hates her real name (which I don't blame her it's Tabita-Ruth). Turtle and other residents of the Sunset Towers find out that they could be heirs to the fortune of Mr. Sam Westing. However, they must solve the puzzle to who has taken his life. They are split into teams of two, and each team is given a set of five seemingly random words. In the end no one is declared the winner, however Turtle does actually solve the will. The doorman you were talking about had four aliases Eastman, McSouthers, Northup, and Westing. It's been a while since I read it so I don't remember which alias is which. Because Turtle solved the will, Sam (or Sandy McSouthers the doorman, that alias I do remember) takes Turtle under his wing and becomes the heir of his will.
Westing Game was also made into a movie back in the mid-90s called Get a Clue!. They kind of messed up the plot, but for a kid's movie it isn't not terrible.
