What if i can't get a 4 gauge in my ear?
I've been wearing 6g for a month now and i decided to try and put a 4 gauge in and for some reason i cannot get it in. I used petroleum jelly to get it in but it didnt work. My ears are healed. Any tips?

are you using tapers?
dont just put a 4 gauge plug in, you might tear your ear or get a blow out. just take a hot shower, and then when you get out massage ky jelly or vitamin e oil on your ears and put it on the taper and just slide it in.

A 4g what? Gauge is a size, so knowing what type of jewelry you're using would help. Hopefully you're not just trying to shove a 4g plug in there. Use tapers to ease the plug in - and make sure that it's not double flared.
Also: Petroleum jelly isn't the best lubricant.

I had the same problem a while ago. Hold off on it for about a week or two. Just don't rush it. While you're sitting around, literally play with your gauge. Even if they're healed, a little movement in them help your ears become use to it more.
It's different for everyone. Just give it some more time. :]

well if you're not using a taper (said above) then you should be
and if it wont go though your ear then give it more time
and scar tissue buildup can make it harder to stretch so be sure you're stretching properly (ie. not skipping sizes or stretching too soon)
