Is "Prayer" merely a socially-acceptable means of "talking to yourself" ?

Prayer is to the unbeliever as kool aid is to Coco Cola, for it was written for our understanding, GOD is not mocked, you must be born again of water and of Spirit, the water is the word written in the Holy scriptures and the Sirit is the power of salvation quickened to the unbeliever, when he seek the righteousness that comes through or by faith in Christ Jesus, that he might become the sons of GOD;

I think praying to God is a lot like Tom Hanks talking to Wilson in Castaway. It's real, and probably necessary for the person who does it.

If you are real in prayer to God you will find He is tangible, seek His face,become a God Chaser!, Read the scriptures again and again till they come to life in the Spirit of understanding. then you are a socially - acceptable means of talking to God. Ooh... Do you see how your mouth no longer stains the air. I challenge you for a changed opinion.

I would think that you would be intrigued enough to find out why billions of people could believe such "fairy tales" and "myths". Millions of highly intelligent people claim that they receive genuine answers to prayers, including verifiable miracles.
